Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Washing: Avoid washing kimonos in the washing machine. Colors are likely to leak when washed and the fabric (esp. silk) may stiffen. Use cold water and hand wash/patch wash if necessary. Even water may create water stains.
Dry cleaning: If you wish to wash the whole kimono or want to remove a stain/s, please consult a trusted dry cleaner who has dealt with kimonos before or knows how to wash silk. There is always a risk of damaging the fabric.
*Ajisai Kimono can not take responsibility for any damage caused by dry cleaners.
All orders are generally shipped out within 1-3 business days. We ship regular mail through Canada Post.
If you would like to upgrade (recommended for international buyers) to get a tracking number, expedited, express mail, or add insurance, please feel free to message me and I will get a quote for you.

Ajisai Kimono will not be held responsible for items lost in the mail due to post office errors or stolen packages.

These kimonos are vintage so some degree of wear and imperfections should be expected. We spend the time to carefully inspect and measure each item; anything special will be noted in the description.
Please message Ajisai Kimono within 5 days of delivery if you do have a problem with your purchase. Ajisai Kimono will do a return or exchange only if there is something significantly wrong with your purchase that was not accurately described in the listing.
Please have the tag still attached to the garment when making returns.
Shipping charges are non-refundable.
Returns due to poor fit are not accepted so please read the sizing information.
These kimonos are generally stored in Japan with products such as moth balls to prevent mold or insect damage. If you are hypersensitive to these types of products, we recommend additional airing, steaming or dry cleaning to remove all chemical residue.
Ajisai Kimono is conscious of the environment. Kimono may be wrapped in recycled packaging.
In case of a gift, please notify us and we can use new packaging if preferred.
We have made every effort to display the colour of our products as accurately as possible - Fabric colours may vary slightly due to photography and lighting.
